Volvo Cars and DCS Announce New Partnership

Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS) is announcing their latest cooperation with the renowned car manufacturer Volvo Cars. Through this partnership, Volvo Cars customers will gain easy access to one of Europe’s largest charging networks, with over 590,000 charging points. The charging process will work via the familiar Volvo Cars App, using a DCS white label solution. The collaboration will start in Italy and Switzerland on 16th November and will be gradually expanded to 30 markets end of November.

Paving the way for sustainable mobility: bp, BMW Group and Daimler Mobility announce successful closing of transaction that makes bp third shareholder of Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS)

DCS offers industry leading solutions to provide EV drivers with seamless access to more than 300,000 charging points in 30 countries. bp will provide DCS customers access to an additional 9,000 charging points across Europe including ultra-fast charging and together with DCS, will develop new integrated offers for fleets - including fuel and charge services. Globally, bp aims to grow its network of public EV charging points by 2030 to over 70,000 worldwide.

Digital Charging Solutions (DCS), EVBox Group, and The Mobility House combine offerings to create a single EV charging solution for fleets

With the integrated DCS charging solution CHARGE NOW for Business, fleet managers have an overview of the charging behavior of all electric vehicles (EVs) in their fleet, whether at public, residential, or workplace charging points. The Mobility House’s Charging and Energy Management system ChargePilot helps lower energy costs while guaranteeing a stable supply of energy for future use. EVBox Group provides its charging stations and charging management software (Everon) which enables remote support and is integrated into the DCS solution.

Digital Charging Solutions GmbH gains bp as third shareholder and partner

bp intends to acquire 1/3 of the shares in Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS) and thus become the third shareholder. The strategic investment will mark an important step for the further development of e-mobility and will open up a variety of new opportunities for DCS on its way to becoming a leading global service provider for charging solutions. BMW Group and Daimler Mobility AG will remain joint majority shareholders of DCS. The transaction is subject to regulatory review.

ChargeNow, the charging service, is becoming BMW Charging and MINI Charging

The ChargeNow charging service operated by Digital Charging Solutions GmbH for BMW and MINI vehicles was renamed BMW Charging and MINI Charging on 1 July. Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS) will continue to operate the services in the future. All ChargeNow features will still be available and remain unchanged under the new brand names. Under the brand CHARGE NOW, DCS will continue to offer CHARGE NOW for Business, the charging service for fleets.

Find the nearest charging station quickly and safely

To make it even easier to plan a journey to the nearest charging point in future, Digital Charging Solutions has optimized the route calculation in the app. Start and stop destination routes can also be integrated, and you can make a note of special charging stations on the route. In addition, you can now also use the Siri® voice control system to find charging stations and add them to your favorites or to start the authentication process – all fully integrated via Apple CarPlay.
